The oaky vanilla aroma is integrating nicely, and this wine has ripe and bold fruit aromas of plum and blackberry—but it is headed towards a closed phase. This is a big and bold wine with a fruit-forward and round entry without heaviness or aggression, as it’s surprisingly approachable structurally. There are some chalky tannins on the long finish as the wine builds momentum from front to back across the palate. No sediment noted. We suspect this wine will continue to improve through 2045.
